Shamrocks Against Dystrophy

Look for Shamrocks in local businesses
Keep an eye out for these Shamrocks in local businesses this month. When you see them, donate from $1 to $5 to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  A new way to help this year is to text "IRISH" to 20222 on your cell phone to make a $5 donation (added to your phone bill).  So buy a Shamrock or text for Jerry's Kids!  Details here

Northshore Cruisin' for a Cure 2010

Begins at Premier Medical Center, 7015 Hwy 190 E. Service Rd in Covington

Bowl to benefit the Better Than Ezra Foundation, created to help restore and renew the structural and cultural heritage of New Orleans and the Gulf South region.  $60 ticket includes open bar and food.  (Bowling is additional)

Join the cast of HBO's series "Treme" in a celebrity auction and cocktail gala to support NOMAF.  Event guests will walk the red carpet, mingle with the show’s cast and crew and see an exclusive trailer of the new HBO show before its premiere while bidding on unique film and television memorabilia and items donated by local artists and businesses.

Celebrity guests will include: Khandi Alexander, Kim Dickens, Melissa Leo, Clarke Peters, Wendell Pierce and Steven Zahn, among others. The event also includes several not-to-be-missed musical performances and food from celebrity chefs whose cuisine is featured in the series.
